Since winning in
Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, the four ladies of the band have been appearing in various events to promote their upcoming album, which hits retail stores in July 1. The girls have sung the National Anthem for the Galaxy earlier this month and have completed their second Like Me Webisode, which featured a behind-the-scenes look at the girls as they discuss their melodies, style, lyrics and choreography.
More recently, the girls have been featured in
Blender.com as the Blender Breakout Artist. In fact, in the little clip they made for the magazine, the girls discussed the meaning of Girlicious, their first concerts, and what they do to warm up and get the chills out before each performance.
“Girlicious is not necessarily a word,” the ladies of Girlicious explained. “It's a lifestyle. It's about being confident, it's about being yourself, it's about standing out. It's about embracing what you have, what God gave you...About being a girl...Girl power.”
Check out the clip below to see what else they have to say as the newest heiresses to the Pussycat Dolls.
As for the Pussycat Dolls, fans will be seeing more of them in the coming weeks and months, as they are getting ready to launch their sophomore album, which title has yet to be announced. The Dolls recently appeared in Jimmy Kimmel’s show, where they debuted their new single, “When I Grow Up.”
In other news, lead Doll Nicole Scherzinger has finally come out in the open about her relationship with Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton, who is seven years younger than her.
"We've been seeing each other on and off for three months," Nicole said, the
Mirror reports. The two began dating last year, and Nicole recently headed to Monaco to celebrate Hamilton’s victory at the grand prix. This is the reason why Nicole wasn’t present during the Pussycat Dolls’ single release party in Las Vegas on Friday.
Fans need not worry, though, for Nicole will be back in time for more promotion for the upcoming PCD record, which is set to be released soon.
