Are you ready for a Singaporean version of the Pussycat Dolls?  Robin Antin, who created the Pussycat Dolls as a cabaret act in a Hollywood nightclub, is contemplating on doing an Asian version of the burlesque ensemble if the cards are played right.  Pleased with how the people of Singapore treated her established music group the last time they graced the island nation, Antin has chosen Singapore among other Asian countries if she decides to push through with her plans of coming up with yet another all-female group.

"We're hoping to have one in Singapore,” Antin said during an interview with Today.  "So, if we have one in Asia, we want it to be here.  We're working on that…I think 2008 is going to be a very big year for everything I'm doing … If I come to Singapore, I'll have the Singapore version of Pussycat Dolls there.  We'll see what happens.  You never know what I'll be cooking up."

While the Singaporean version of the Pussycat Dolls is still tentative, Antin is currently focusing on projects that are more definite just like her upcoming series, Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.  Unlike Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll which followed a group of young women vying for a spot on the Pussycat Dolls, Girlicious will end up with three members to form a new pop/R&B girl ensemble.  The series will premiere on Monday, February 18 at 9/8c on The CW and will be showing encore episodes every Wednesday at 9/8c.

"I wanted to create a new group that was inspired by the Pussycat Dolls.  I must say they're the most incredible group of girls — they sing their butts off, they're amazing dancers. I think people are going to love it," Antin said of Girlicious.

Shrugging off any comparison between Girlicious and the Pussycat Dolls, Antin reveals that both groups are like sister acts.

“They dance, sing and they're super sexy. I can't do that different — I have to make them sexy," she added.
