Last night on
Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, the ranks shrank again. With the departure of “Rock Star”
Carrie, we're now down to five girls competing to make part of “music history” according to judge and creator
Robin Antin.
Excuse me for a minute while I collapse in giggles.
Okay, sorry, I've collected myself. It was just the idea of this show leading to a group that would make “music history” in anything other than the “Well, they have a Wikipedia page for posterity” sense suddenly seemed irresistibly comic.
So of the remaining five contestants on
Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, I feel like I can make the call now as to who will ultimately be in Girlicious. Dare I be so bold?! I'm going to try. I'm calling it now…I'm going out on a limb and guessing that my picks this week for Most Girlicious will also end up in the final group.
Your Take

It is rumored that Tiffanie, Nichole and Chryle will be the group, because Natalie wouldn't want to work ...

I agree with 4783we the group should be Tiffanie Charlye and Nichole
MOST
Tiffanie,
Nichole and
Natalie.
Tiffanie because she's had star quality from day one. Nichole because all manufactured pop groups need a variety of hair colors AND she can actually sign. Natalie because Robin Antin is endlessly fascinated by her, and she has actually been kid-tested and approved. If your target market has already told you they will buy your product, you don't throw out the product and go back to R&D.
So that means who, of these remaining five, is least Girlicious? (I'm not even bothering to include Carrie. Her total lack of screen time except when she was performing has been telegraphing for weeks that she would never make it through. And her reaction to being eliminated – cheerful equanimity – shows she is probably a smart enough girl to know she did well with the exposure she did get and should now move on to a singing career that fits her style better).
LEAST
Charlye. Why wouldn't I pick Charlye for the group when she won the challenge, is so very talented, and seems to have a lot of magnetic stage presence? I'm actually doing it for something that happened a few weeks ago.
Charlye was incensed – or at least pretended to be – when
Chrystina got her grind on in the dance-with-boys challenge. Now Charlye is quite gifted, and has a lot of charisma, but this is a group formed by the founder of Pussycat Dolls. Anyone who opposed to a little dance floor stylized dry hump is sort of missing the point.
Chrystina. The judges noted her improvement this week. But she was so rattled at the idea of working with girls she doesn't like, and so rattled a few weeks ago when she landed in the bottom two…I don't think she's ready to be part of a group if these minor setbacks shook her so badly. She also struggles every week to retain lyrics, it seems, so I can't imagine she'll make it all the way through. I think she'll be out next week.
There! I said it! My picks for Most and Least which also are my picks for the final group. Have I just jinxed my own luck? We'll see next week on
