Coming off of the highly successful search for the Girlicious ladies,
Nichole Cordova,
Tiffanie Anderson,
Chrystina Sayers and
Natalie Mejia have emerged victorious in their battle of making it into the final four. Much to their surprise, Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin decided to keep the fourth girl in the competition. Since then, the girls have kept quiet while
Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious reality competition was airing on The CW. They’ve been running around, back and fourth into the studio to record their self-titled debut album and into the set to shoot their videos. Now, the girls have been making appearances here and there to promote their upcoming album, which hits retail stores on July 1.
“Since the show ended, we’ve been in the studio, we’ve been at the gym, learning dances, everyday non-stop,” Nichole said in an interview segment with the
Daily Motion. “It’s like we’re always busy, always doing something.”
Surely, work is hard for these young girls who are determined to make it big in the music industry. Being amateurs, they’ve been exposed to the drama of reality television, and now that they’ve made it to the top, they’re going into the real world of music business, where everything isn’t as happy as a fairy tale ending.
“There’s so many things about the journey...Just being on the show, like so many emotions, so many sides of who you are as a person comes out when you’re taken out of your element, your environment of everyday life and like put into this house with all these people you’ve never met,” Natalie said.
“I think it was hard to overcome moving out for the first time,” Nichole said. “It’s a little bit hard just to be like, ‘Bye, Mom’ and move away from my family but I really do feel like it was my destiny so I’m just having a blast and trying to make sure that in all the chaos, in all the busyness, I enjoy and I realize what I’m doing...This is just something I’ve wanted for so long.”
The girls are indeed having fun despite the hard work that they have to endure to ultimately find success in the music industry. Click on the video below to see how they deal with celebrity life now that they’re about to launch their debut album.
Meanwhile, the girls are indeed everywhere, as they have also popped into the offices of Maxim Magazine, where they gave the staff a taste of what’s to come in their debut album. Click on the video below to see a short a Capella performance of their first single, “Like Me.”
