Another Television Opportunity for Pussycat Dolls Singer
Another Television Opportunity for Pussycat Dolls Singer
Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, is no stranger to the small screen. And she's also no stranger to the process of a reality show competition; years before Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll, she was auditioning herself for a part in a pop group. She appeared on the 2001 WB show Popstars, and earned a spot in another all-girl group Eden's Crush.

Since then, she obviously gone onto to greater success with Pussycat Dolls, so much so that she is now on the other side of things and is a part of a group that thousands of girls competed to be a part of on Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for a New Doll. Although the second season of Pussycat Dolls Presents will be a competition for an all-new girl group, Girlicious, one could anticipate that with such a show title, Scherzinger and the other Dolls will be making at least periodic appearances on the program.

However, if you want the chance to see more of Scherzinger on the tube, she is currently in negotiations to appear on another, non-reality television program.

It's been reported that Scherzinger, along with R&B star Mary J. Blige and reggaeton performer Daddy Yankee, are currently being wooed to make appearances as themselves on the new CBS drama series Cane. The show stars Jimmy Smits, and centers on a Miami family in the sugar business.

Jonathan Price, the producer of Cane, says the show will include a nightclub as a key location, and the stars would be appearing and performing at this spot. He goes on to say, "These are the kind of people who would be playing in Miami and maybe they happen by this club for an after-party, and they happen to sing or perform. We hope to tie to the show."

Since the reports say Scherzinger is still working out the details, it's always possible it might not happen, but if you can't get enough of the Pussycat Dolls star, this might be a chance to see her in a new venue if the talks work out.
