Ways to Celebrate/Prepare for the Arrival of 'Project Runway' Season 7
Ways to Celebrate/Prepare for the Arrival of 'Project Runway' Season 7
Tomorrow marks another season in the phenomenal reality series Project Runway, and of course many fans are already anticipating the show's return.  Still, we might get plagued with boredom for these last few hours before the big premiere.

There are two options answering this dilemma though.  One thing you could do would be to get on with your life, while the other way could be more fashion-fun.  It definitely involves more of Project Runway.

I've trekked to the show's spot on the Lifetime website and found several ways to get you excited for the debut of season 7.  First off, there's the very obvious choice of watching the previous season again.  Even though each installment can stand on its own, nostalgia usually is a good cure for ennui.

What better way to look back on season 6 than to catch the DVD and recall the Mean-a Irina memories?  The network reports that the episodes will be available on discs in February, but you can already pre-order it on Amazon.  If you can still be patient though, mark your calendars for February 23, the day the DVD hits stores.

Another way you could spend your time before the Project Runway premiere is to hit NYC and walk through the newly named avenue.  Today, January 13, Fashion Ave (7th Ave) will be temporarily called "Project Runway Avenue" in honor of season 7.

Tim Gunn and Nina Garcia will be around for the ceremony, along with several designers from past seasons and officials of the city.  The event will be held in front of the "Needle Threading a Button" sculpture in NY's Fashion District.

If you still have time after shaking hands with your favorite designers in NYC, you can start familiarizing yourself with the Project Runway season 7 contestants.  We've updated their profiles and even made a slideshow for them.

You might also want to start playing Fantasy TV for this season, to guess which designers will make it to Bryant Park.  There are also those sneak peeks we've posted, along with judge Nina Garcia's comments on this season.

But if those activities still won't be able to tide you over, I don't know what will.  Perhaps you're one of those patient people who are absolutely fine waiting for 10pm on Thursday.  In that case, good for you.  Don't forget to catch Project Runway 7's premiere, followed by Models of the Runway at 11pm on Lifetime.
