In the second episode of this season’s
Project Runway,
Sarah Jessica Parker was a guest judge. She asked the designers to create a high fashion look on a low budget for her clothing line, Bitten. The winning design would be sold in Steve and Barry’s stores nationwide. Though season 4 winner
Christian Siriano fared well in the challenge, it was actually
Victorya Hong who took the challenge. Now that the show has finished airing, Parker can speak out on the episode she taped as well as her thoughts on the winner. She spoke to entertainment blog, Josh and Josh are Rich and Famous, while promoting her
Sex and The City film and dished about
Project Runway!

Parker doesn't regret choosing Hong as the winner but does want to clear up a few things. "The thing with Christian haunted me for days. I kept writing to Andy [Cohen, executive producer of
Project Runway] and said, 'You’ve got to tell him how much I love him,' but at the end of the day it was just not the right piece for the collection,” she said. Parker says that she was actually a bigger fan of Siriano that the show let on. “On the show you don’t get to see all the nice things I said to Christian about his work,” she said. “He’s so talented. I really admired him, but he’s also a very intimidating young man. He’s really gifted."
Parker was honored to have been invited to be a part of
Project Runway but underestimated one aspect of her job on the show: "The hardest part—and Andy [Cohen] will tell you this—was the judging,” she admitted. “I found it very uncomfortable. I think Michael Kors is really good—he’s hardcore—he’s a designer and a businessman and he cuts to the chase, but I’m just not equipped.”
Watching a show on television and actually seeing how it works in person are two very different things. One might think that Parker would know and understand that fact but Project Runway still ceased to amaze her. "The work room is not at all what I pictured. I had it all turned around in my head. It’s a much smaller space—television always expands things, for better or worse,” she said. Overall, the experience was a positive one for Parker, who loved every minute of being there. “Just being with those designers was remarkable and seeing what they could do with fifteen friggin’ dollars,” she gushed. Perhaps the fabulous Miss Parker will grace
Project Runway again with her presence in a future episode!
