With an exciting new installment ready to air, the network is further increasing the fan's anticipation for Project Runway season 6.  The show's going to be bringing back alums and hosting the two-hour special called Project Runway: All-Star Challenge.  It's definitely something to look forward to come August 20.

E! Online reports that Lifetime will air the special episode right before the premiere of season 6.  Eight former contestants of the series will return for another chance at winning the coveted prizes.  The twists don't end there though.

For Project Runway: All-Star Challenge, the past designers will have their works critiqued by judges Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia.  Tim Gunn will also be around to mentor.

Competing for $100,000 are season 2's Daniel Vosovic and Santino Rice, season 3's Uli Herzner, Mychael Knight and winner Jeffrey Sebelia, season 4's Sweet P and Chris March, and season 5's Korto Momolu.

Sounds like a good enough line-up.  While we won't be expecting any Kenley Collins-type drama or the fierce!ness of Christian Siriano, there's bound to be plenty of action for the Project Runway: All-Star Challenge show.  I mean, Santino's already there.

Also, it's a wonder why Jeffrey's on board.  He already won a season, and wouldn't it be better if his spot would've been given to someone else?  Oh well.  If only they brought back season 3's Angela just to annoy the guy, we'd surely get a good laugh out of that.

Perfect to whet your appetite for season 6, Project Runway: All-Star Challenge will air at 8pm, and two hours later is the premiere of the new installment.  Workroom mentor Tim Gunn promises this new season to take the audience's breath away.

"It's a great season," Gunn said.  "I'll say there's a big-time shocker, some purported cheating ...  The blogs will be clogged.  They won't be able to vent enough about it."

Don't forget to catch Project Runway's season 6 premiere on August 20 at 10pm on Lifetime, followed by the its new sister show Models of the Runway at 11pm.
