Heidi's back. Tim's back. Nina's back. And 16 fresh faces will begin their journey along the runway as Project Runway season 11 premieres January 24 on Lifetime.
This season is unlike any other. Yes, I understand that every new season is different than the one before, but this one is truly unique. "Every challenge is a team challenge," says Heidi. The added pressure of having to depend on your fellow designers, of whom you are competing against, can only mean one thing. Drama!Meet the 16 designers who will fight to "make it work" this season.
Be it by twos, threes, or groups of eight a piece, these contestants will have to struggle with the infamous drama these competitions bring, working "well" with others AND the challenges put in front of them week after week. Don't believe me? Take a look for yourself!
Sneak Peek at Season 11
As you can see, there have been numerous changes to the upcoming season from the announcement of teams to a brand new judge.
Introducing Zac Posen!
Who is this guy and where is Michael Kors? As a bit of background, Zac received a big break in 2000 when Naomi Campbell sported one of his dresses. Since then his collections can be found in Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, etc., and became a favorite of celebrities such as Rihanna, Natalie Portman and Glenn Close who wore a Posen gown at the 2012 Academy Awards.
As for an absent Michael Kors, scheduling issues seem to be his reasoning according to TVLine. Don't you worry, though! Kors will be seen later on in the season, reprising his role as judge in the Project Runway season 11 finale.
