Monday’s Council of Fashion Designers of America's annual awards was graced with numerous fashion icons and celebrities. Among the few that were seen on the so-called “fashion’s big night” were Project Runway judges Heidi Klum and Michael Kors, Oprah Winfrey and Debra Messing.

Oprah came to present designer Ralph Lauren with the "American Fashion Legend Award" at the New York Public Library, where the Council of Fashion Designers of America's annual awards was held. Ralph also won the Menswear Designer of the Year award over designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright.

Project Runway fan and previous guest judge Debra Messing was also seen at the glam event, who brought judge Michael Kors as her date. "He's a genius,” Messing laughingly told a reporter. “He loves women. He is always classy and modern and effortless and chic, and he can make a woman who is 20 and a woman who is 70 feel sexy. And I'm 20!”

Heidi Klum, who was very eager for Project Runway’s return, expressed her delight that her fellow costar on the show has made it to the event. She said, “It's so much fun to see Michael to my right today!"

Meanwhile, Project Runway season four is currently filming. Tim Gunn, the famed Project Runway guru, is said to be returning to the series. According to a Bravo Press Release, the fourth season of Project Runway is scheduled to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2007, after Top Chef 3.
