On tonight's episode of Project Runway
, the contestants are surprised by the designers who have already been eliminated. They'll be put into teams for tonight's design challenge, something most contestants hate. Tim Gunn
informs them that they'll have to design an avant garde based on the astrological sign of one of the team members. He draws names out of a hat to pair people up. Everyone seems happy with their partners, with the exception of Terri
. After a brief meeting to sketch out ideas, everyone heads to Mood to grab their materials and get to work.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
In the workroom, Tim makes the rounds to check in on the designers. He thinks Jerell
is taking a big risk that will either give him a win or put him in the bottom. It's risky but he's willing to take it in order to impress the judges. Leanne
has a good design and good ideas but is running behind and needs to hurry up. Tim thinks that Kenley
's outfit borders on being costumey instead of avant garde.
The next day, the designers find out that they'll be showcasing their work at the American Museum of Natural History for a select audience. That's the good news. The bad news is that two designers are going home tonight so the pressure's on. It's a double whammy when Tim informs them that there will be no immunity from this point on.
When they arrive at the museum, they are greeted by designers from past seasons. Season 1 contestant Robert Plotkin
and winner Jay McCarroll
are there. Season 2 contestants Daniel Franco
and Kara Janx
are there as well as Alison Kelly
, from season 3. Season 4 designer Carmen Webber
and winner Christian Siriano
are also on hand and all will help pick a winner. They make the rounds at the museum, critiquing and offering advice. The actual runway show will take place the following day.
After the show, the judges don't seem too impressed with Blayne
's design, with Nina
calling it haphazard. They come down on Terri for not allowing Keith to help her more in designing her garment. They come down on Kenley too, saying that she didn't make something that reflected the challenge. Jerell is named the winner this week and the Project Runway
alumni said that they liked his design the best. Leanne, Korto
, and Joe
are all named in. Kenley is safe, which leaves Terri, Blayne, and Suede in the bottom three this week. Blayne is the first person to be out, followed by Terri. Both will talk to BuddyTV in exclusive interviews this week.
