On Project Runway 5
last week, we lost Stella Zotis
and her rocker edge after Diane Von Furstenburg and the judges decided her look deserved to be auf'd. Joe Fortis avoided being eliminated, but several viewers have commented that they felt that Stella deserved to stay over him. Over the last three episodes, the person who was eliminated had come in the bottom three in the previous episode. Can Joe break the cycle?
I'm thinking things don't look good for him for a very specific reason.

This week on Project Runway
, the designers will be team up and creating a look based on the astrological sign of their partner. Joe's weakness, in my mind, has been taking the themes of the challenges far too literally. While the judges haven't commented on it yet, the fact is they are used to the more sophisticated synthesis of high fashion, which takes themes and concepts and abstracts them through the personal taste of the designer. Joe seems to be missing that last step and I can't help but imagine that he will continue that in this episode as well. I can see a Taurus partner ending up in a set of horns or a Libra carrying some scales.
I'm not putting much money on Blayne Walsh
, Jerell Scott
lasting much longer either, for reasons that at this point I shouldn't need to list. Terri Stevens
continues to disappoint me but I hold out hope we will see some more creativity from her.
and Korto Momolu
dominate this competition in my mind. Kenley Collins
hasn't demonstrated quite their level of creativity, but she's been solid too.
This Project Runway
season so far has seemed pretty predictable and even a little boring. Could this be the episode where there is some kind of twist? As much as I would like to have things livened up, all the strongest designers are all my favorites, so I really don't want any of them to go home yet. So maybe a little more predictability wouldn't be such a bad thing.
