'Project Runway' Announces Cast, Gears Up for Aug. 20 Premiere

The long-awaited sixth season of Project Runway, which has moved from Bravo to Lifetime, is close at hand!

Today, Lifetime announced the 16 designers who will compete on the reality competition, hosted by Heidi Klum, for a chance to show their designs at New York Fashion Week and a $100,000 cash prize.

The season premieres August 20 at 10 PM ET/PT.

Fashion guru Tim Gunn introduced the contestants to People Magazine today. He'll act as their mentor during their time on the show, which will film at Los Angeles' Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

The Season 6 Project Runway designers are:
