Many designers on
Project Runway never thought they'd come this far, especially since they didn't win the competition. On Wednesday night, several of the series' alums sauntered over to Fashion Group International's big celebration: "The Designers & Their Muses" party in Los Angeles. Held at Standard Hotel, it boasted of a number of upcoming talents and their creations.

Los Angeles Times reports that among those present at the event was the current season's finalist Mila Hermanovski. She believed that the celebration was a way to come out as a designer" in the industry.
Since being on
Project Runway's season 7, Texas native Mila Hermanovski kept busy with honing what she learned from Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum. "I plan on being locally based in L.A., but I really want to show in New York. This is a great way to say hello," she said of the event.
San Diego-based designer Jesus Estrada, who we saw booted off
Project Runway a few weeks ago, was also present at the event. Pointing to his the silver spikes on his model's sleeves, he said, "Let's try to make L.A. edgy and modern."
The former contestant of the show has been keeping busy with his upcoming endeavor with fellow
Project Runway alum Gordana Gehlhausen. The two of them will be headlining the 10-designer runway show called Project Ethos, to be held at Hollywood Blvd.
Having been eliminated from
Project Runway, Jesus Estrada believed that he would pull through in the fashion industry. He eventually became roommates with the aforementioned season 6 contestant and they continue to work together.
Aside from Jesus and Mila, the Fashion Group International celebration also had a musical guest for the evening. Katie Cole performed for the audience, delighting those who came.

Project Runway vets are already doing well for themselves.
