Project Runway 7: Ping Wu Blames Elimination on Jesse and Megan?
Project Runway 7: Ping Wu Blames Elimination on Jesse and Megan?
Last week we witnessed one of the most trying challenges in Project Runway history, which usually means seeing the designers work in teams.  It really seems difficult to get over that, especially when you've had to endure verbal abuse from your competition.  Worse, even the models aren't on your side.

The circumstances she got stuck in shouldn't have mattered to the eliminated designer Ping Wu.  Despite her best efforts, the Chinese-born contestant with a unique vision didn't really expect to be out of the competition this early.

Talking to Movieline, Ping Wu expressed how appalled she was at being booted out of Project Runway.  "I was so shocked when I lost on the team challenge!" she exclaimed.  "I was always known to be a very good leader."

Her leadership skills didn't really work out when she was paired up with an actor like Jesse LeNoir.  "I personally think he is so much -- craving for personal attention or screentime in front of the camera," Ping explained.  "I think that played a huge role -- he really made a soap opera out of nothing.  We could have worked together and really utilized my vision of design rather than arguing with me constantly."

She also believed that their model, Megan, was partially responsible for her elimination.  Then again, it was also because of Jesse.

"I was surprised by her behavior myself," Ping said.  "I think it's because of the attachment she had with Jesse.  She had been working with him for the previous three challenges, so there's some kind of loyalty, I guess."

Even though her final days on Project Runway were far from a happy memory, it still served as a lesson for Ping Wu.  She's still hoping to make it big in the fashion industry somehow, and with her determination we might just see more from her.

"I made my decision to move to New York a few months ago," she explained.  "And obviously, I'm very ambitious, you know?  While I'm still young and have ambition and energy, I should do everything I can to make people realize these fresh designs."
