Ra'mon Lawrence Coleman went from the runway to
The Hills, as he employed his
Project Runway skills and worked alongside reality TV star Lauren Conrad for her spring collection. The season 6 designer didn't exactly make any appearances on the show, since even the star doesn't work there anymore. However, the two of them put their heads and hands together to come up with a line for Kohl's.

The results actually surprised many, because her earlier collections don't come as close to this. Well, that's thanks to the hand of Ra'mon Lawrence.
The designer helped out a lot with the star's collection, highlighting his talents in details. He didn't quite boast of the collaboration though, but there are several obvious similarities in his
Project Runway creations to hers. Even fashion blog
le petit connaisseur pointed out a number of parallel features.
Also, Coleman already revealed the news back in 2009 and told
L'etoile Magazine about his work with the former
Hills starlet. "You know me, I'm a guy who likes to juggle many things," Ra'mon Lawrence said.
"So after the experience I really have been keeping my hands busy in different projects, one of which has been now coming to Kohl's and collaborating with Lauren Conrad on her upcoming line in addition to helping update some of the other lines, including the relaunch of Mudd, which just hit stores."
Anyway, Lauren Conrad's spring collection also draws heavily from the star's own style. It's also pretty affordable too, which is always great news for those who want to pay homage to the
Hills and
Project Runway stars. Or those who just like good clothes.

Project Runway alums getting jobs in the fashion industry, it would be better if they were headlining their own projects. Playing second-fiddle to Lauren Conrad with her taking most of the credit can't possibly be good for Coleman's career and self-esteem. Then again, one should always be thankful for small mercies.
