Thirty-one-year-old Rami Kashou from Ramallah, Jerusalem flew to the United States upon graduating high school to pursue his dream of becoming a fashion designer. There, he was educated at Brooks College in California. He is the son of an eclectic and fashionable mother and as a young man, was often commissioned by the local town socialites to create designs for them. After a few months in college, he decided to make his own path and travel to Europe, where he taught himself pattern-making. After three years, Kashou began to create his own collection, which was then picked up by Aero & Co. and Diavolina, two notable boutiques in Los Angeles.
Rami Kashou was one of 15 hopefuls in the fourth season of Bravo’s Project Runway. He started out the season as a frontrunner, winning the first challenge, Sew Us What You Got. He went on to win only one other challenge, Eye Candy. He was in the top group twice and the bottom group four times. He faced off against fellow designer Chris March for a spot in the final runway show and won. He placed second overall in season 4, losing to Christian Siriano.
