Kate Walsh is head over heels in love with her new husband, Alex Young, but this doesn't mean that she's reluctant to share steamy kisses with
Private Practice costar
Tim Daly.
“See, Tim and I are obsessed with making the kisses [on the show] look real,” Walsh explained to
TV Guide, adding that she even sometimes asks Young to weigh in on all the lip action. “[One night,] Alex was watching at home and I called and said, "Did it seem hot?" and he said, "Yeah, it was really hot — if I wasn't your husband!"

Apparently, the public can bear witness to Kate Walsh's smooching expertise off screen as well, as the 40-year-old actress was recently spotted making out in the supermarket with Young. Tabloids had a field day over the pictures of the kissing couple, but Walsh has come to accept the fact that being followed by paparazzi is all just “part of the job.”
“Listen, as soon as we pull away from our house, usually on Saturdays, there's a line of four cars following us. But what are ya gonna do? This is part of the job. To go to work and act is playing; the actual work is the paparazzi, the politics, everything else,” the
Private Practice star told
TV Guide. “But hey, I'm not gonna not go grocery shopping — it's literally become a novelty, like, ‘Hey, let's go grocery shopping. Exciting!' All of your life changes with this success. But, come on, it's glorious. Glorious! [Big laugh] I'm so happy, it's morbid.”
Walsh has certainly done well for herself in the recent years. After spending three seasons portraying Dr. Addison Montgomery on
Grey's Anatomy, she landed her own television series, and now stars in the show's spin-off
Private Practice.
“It's been like a wave,” Walsh said of her career high, “and I've just been riding it.”
