Private Practice is riding high on the recent network go-ahead for nine more of its installments to make up a full first season. On the heels of such elating news, we have the skinny on what fans can look forward to in tonight's show and next week's.
Read on for spoilers to tonight's
Private Practice as well as a sneak peak at next week's offering.
Tonight's episode entitled “In Which Addison Finds A Showerhead” sees Dr. Addison Montgomery (
Kate Walsh) unable to push thoughts of Dr. Pete Finch (
Tim Daly), even as her well-meaning friends encourage her to divert her attention somewhere else. Violet's (
Amy Brenneman) ex, Allan, drops by the clinic, much to Cooper's (
Paul Adelstein) dismay and displeasure. Meanwhile, an attractive patient named Andrea flirts with one of the male nurses, who, despite sensing the connection between them, tries to fend off her advances. Finally, Sam (
Taye Diggs) and Naomi's (
Audra McDonald) daughter seeks Addison's professional advice in secret.
In still more spoilers, here's a look at what the doctors and staff of the Oceanside Wellness facility will have to face next week. In the episode “In Which Charlotte Goes Down The Rabbit Hole,” which is scheduled to air October 31, Dr. Charlotte King (Kadee Strickland) asks Pete, their resident alternative medicine specialist, to help rid her of her insomnia. Naomi finally ventures on her first date since she was in college. Elsewhere, a 13-year old named Tess comes to the clinic to get her dislocated arm fixed but Cooper doesn't believe that her injury is a result of an innocent fall off a curb. He suspects there is more to it than the girl is willing to reveal and that someone may have inflicted harm on her. The case winds up in court. Finally, a couple looks at egg donation in their quest to conceive but in the course of the entire process, the wife makes a startling revelation and asks Addison and Naomi not to say anything to her husband about her fertility.
“In Which Addison Finds A Showerhead” airs at 9 tonight on ABC's
