Private Practice: Preview of Episode 2.8 "Crime and Punishment"

This week on Private Practice, David Sutcliffe (Gilmore Girls) continues his role as Officer Kevin Nelson in an episode that features Addison (Kate Walsh) struggling to fight to save the lives of a woman in a coma and the her unborn baby.  Tonight's installment is called “Crime and Punishment,” which was written by series creator Shonda Rhimes and directed by Mark Tinker, Emmy Award winner who is also credited for John from Cincinnati, Deadwood, L.A. Law and The White Shadow, among others.

In the eighth episode of Private Practice's second season, Addison teams up with Charlotte in an effort to keep the conditions of both a pregnant woman in a coma and her unborn child steady.

Meanwhile, Pete's (Tim Daly) girlfriend, Meg, starts a rift with members of the Oceanside staff when she begins seeing patients there.  Things get even more serious when Violet (Amy Brenneman) seeks Kevin's advice after a patient is suspected of murdering his wife.

Aside from David Sutcliffe, this episode also includes Brian Benben, Andy Milder, Joan McMurtrey, Noah Bean and Ivar Brogger.  Benben, who guest stars as Sheldon, is credited for his role as Martin Tupper on Dream On and as the star of The Brian Benben Show.  Milder, on the other hand, is noted for his role as Dean Hodes on the Showtime series Weeds.  Appearing as Jennifer is McMurtrey, who has worked on The Bold and the Beautiful, Psych, Boston Legal and Grey's Anatomy.  As for Bean and Brogger, they have appeared respectively on Damages and The Bold and the Beautiful.

Private Practice also stars Audra McDonald as Dr. Naomi Bennett, Paul Adelstein as Dr. Cooper Freedman, KaDee Strickland as Dr. Charlotte King, Chris Lowell as William Dell Parker, and Taye Diggs as Dr. Sam Bennett.
