Prison Break, for a show that involves no Science Fiction, no supernatural occurrences, nothing that isn't wholly impossible, requires a remarkable amount of suspended disbelief. It's impossible to fathom much of the action on this show as actually plausible, whether it be the
Prison Break itself, the subsequent man hunt, the accuracy and foresight of Scofield's body tattoo, or a Veterinarian replacing a severed hand.
But this is okay.
I hear people whine about the implausibility of the show all the time, and I don't understand why. It's a TV show, people. That's what TV is for. It's an (ahem) escape from reality, even if its a reality show.
Prison Break should be ingested no differently than
Lost or
Battlestar Galactica.
Anyway, last night's
Prison Break was a very good one and they've
recapped it in an incredibly exhaustive manner over at TV Fodder. If you missed the episode last night, this recap will fill in everything you missed in extreme detail. Check it out.
