Last night's episode really showed why
Prison Break is such a great series. It was suspenseful, making viewers wonder if several key characters would even make it out of the episode alive. It was funny, mostly because of Sucre being caught in a precarious position. It was dramatic, with the revelation of the reason behind Michael's nosebleeds. It had its tender moments, with Michael and Sara sharing a quick laugh together, something they both need in such a stressful time. Last night's episode, "Five The Hard Way", may just be my favorite of the season so far and here are the top 5 reasons my heart was pounding for the entire hour!
5. Roland Can’t Control His Gambling Addiction
Things were going well for Lincoln, Sara, and Sucre in Vegas. They obtained the information from the latest Scylla data card and were heading back to Los Angeles. It was basically a flawless trip until Roland said he needed to use the bathroom and instead decided to play the slots. Security cameras caught him, with a device in hand, winning the jackpot after only 2 pulls. They confiscated his device and kicked him out of the casino. The only problem is – that device is how they’ve been downloading the Scylla info!
4. Lincoln Explains Michael’s Nosebleeds
Apparently, while attempting to hijack information from an organization full of lethal assassins, there’s time to take a quiet moment to discuss personal problems. Whatever, I’ll take it because I’ve been dying to know what’s up with Michael’s nosebleeds, and the news isn’t good. His mother suffered from the same affliction and then dropped dead of a brain aneurysm in her 30s. Michael is in his 30s. Michael has nosebleeds. I'm scared.
3. T-Bag Has Michael At Gunpoint
Michael, here's some advice: Never give Bellick any responsibility. He manages to get himself, as well as Michael caught by T-Bag (and Gretchen, but the guys don't know that). T-Bag forces Michael to solve the puzzle that the pages of the bird book make, so that he can get his hands on Scylla. He threatens to kill the Gate secretary if he doesn't comply so Michael, being the good person that he is, does. He convinces T-Bag to take him to Gate to look for the card and Mahone is waiting there for him. They double up on him, lock him in a room, and leave him for the cops to find. Have you ever heard a grown man scream the way T-Bag did when he was left there?
2. Wyatt Heads To Take Out Don
The General gives orders to Wyatt to take out Don, but make it look like an accident. Now, I don't know how big a fan I am of Don, but I certainly don't want him to die. He's the only person looking out for Michael at this point, with any power to help him. Wyatt headed to Don's apartment but found it empty, completely cleared out. Agent Self was busy meeting with The General himself, trying to threaten him and keep him from killing him - but it seems that his days are numbered. If he makes it through November sweeps, I'll be shocked.
1. Sucre Goes Gay?!
Sara tries unsuccessfully to get the Scylla data card holder to take her up to his Vegas suite. He politely turns her down and pays for her drink as he walks away. It turns out that the guy has been propositioning men. Cue Sucre. He doesn't want to hit on any dudes but Lincoln tells him he has to take one for the team. In a hilariously uncomfortable scene, Sucre gets himself invited up to the suite where he finds out that that the guy wants him to sleep with his wife, not him. Roland asks him what happened up in that suite but Sucre only replies, "What happens in Vegas..."
