'Prison Break' Season 3 Preview
'Prison Break' Season 3 Preview
Prison Break season 3 begins in just four days and that means the hype has settled to a dull roar while FOX waits to run tape to fans.  If you just can't wait any longer, though, here is a brief rundown of that action and adventure that await Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) in Prison Break's third season.

If you watched you probably know that Lincoln and Michael made to Panama where Michael was promptly charged for a murder he did not commit and was subsequently stuck in the icky Sona prison.  The  prison set was not actually built at that time, so if you think you got a feel for what Sona life was like, brace yourself for a little culture shock.

If you watched the first quarter preview that Fox had online this is old news to you, but one thing that was somewhat surprising is that Michael and Mahone have a chit chat about allegiances right off the bat.  In short, Michael is not up for it.  I would say, run down and out of gas is Michael's state.   Lincoln is fiercely advocating for Michael's release, but when the brothers meet up Michael seems to have given up.

The inside of Sona plays on the noble savage theme.  It is not a lawless wasteland, rather it is a prison where the prisoners have created a system based around nearly tribal justice complete with rituals of arbitration that rival “last man standing.”

What is not pursued in the preview is the subplot concerning Michael's quest for escape that begins with a mysterious inmate named Whistler.  Whistler apparently holds the key to getting Michael out of prison, but the problem is Whistler has a bounty on his head and doesn't exactly want anybody, particularly the other inmates, knowing he is there.

Prison Break season 3 premieres September 17.
