A week from tonight,
Prison Break returns for its 4th season on FOX with a special 2 hour episode. In those 2 hours, the show will have a lot to explain from how the heck Sara is still alive to whose side Mahone is on to how T-Bag ends up on the other side of Sona’s prison walls. This week, TV Guide tried to give us some answers to questions we’ve been asking ourselves for years now. Each actor on
Prison Break was given the opportunity to ask executive producer, Matt Olmstead, the one question that they most wanted answered. Not that Matt was going to give them totally straight answers but he revealed enough to satisfy them, and fans … for now.
** WARNING! SEMI-SPOILERS AHEAD! **
Olmstead promised Camille Gauty, who plays Maricruz on the show, that her pregnancy will be addressed in the first hour of the season premiere. According to him, Maricruz is in her 2nd to 3rd trimester.
Amaury Nolasco can’t wait for his character to be reunited with the love of his life but Olmstead wouldn’t tell him if that day was coming soon. All he would say was, “I would think that Sucre’s last moments in the series – regardless of whether they are together or not – would involve Maricruz.”
Wade Williams is hoping that his character, Bellick, will find love in season 4. After all, several other characters have gotten some lovin’ both inside the prison walls and out. No such luck for Bellick, though. “Bellick always had a love interest and will continue to have one: himself.” Too bad, Brad.
Remember Westmoreland’s money? We almost forgot about it, too, but
Prison Break didn’t.
Dominic Purcell asked Olmstead, “Where is the bag of money and how do I get my hands on it?” Apparently, it’s a question that Olmstead gets asked quite a bit but he answers that it’s at the bottom of a lagoon in Panama.
Wentworth Miller brought up the fact that his character, Michael, made a promise to Westmoreland that he would deliver half the money to his terminally ill daughter. It’s a little too late now, said Olmstead. “Unfortunately, Michael never made it and we can only assume that she died peacefully in her sleep,” he revealed.
For those looking to see Sara and Gretchen have it out this season, they'll have to look no further than episode 8. The two will meet up with no boys around to protect them. "You'd think it would be a catfight, but it's not," Olmstead told
Jodi Lynn O'Keefe. "Earlier on, the confrontation might have been a battle to the death. And that showdown might still happen."
