Nowadays, many toy companies have already taken advantage of TV’s hype when it comes to releasing toys or action figures representing notable characters. Previously, McFarlane Toys generated
Lost figures with characters including Sawyer, Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sun and Mr. Eko just to name a few.
Desperate Housewives also penetrated the world of dolls since The Madame Alexander Doll Company has already decided to come up with limited edition plastic dolls, which include the characters Lynette, Gabrielle, Susan, Bree and Edie.
Recently, another toy company, Hot Toys, has decided to release the first-ever TV character-dolls based on the Fox hit series
Prison Break.
Prison Break has become immensely popular with its action packed scenes, thrilling escape plans and, most certainly, its crowd pleasing stars. To take advantage of its fame and worldwide recognition, Hot Toys has decided to release limited edition
Prison Break toys some time in June this year.
Hot Toys, based in Hong Kong, has released dolls modeled after Michael Scofield who is portrayed by actor
Wentworth Miller and Lincoln Burrows who is played by
Dominic Purcell. The limited edition Prison Break 12” dolls are considered to be high in demand so fans can expect that the cost of the toys will be a bit pricey.
So just how much will fans have to pay? While other TV character figures have been priced at a relatively affordable amount ($129.95 for
Desperate Housewives dolls and $15.99 to $35.99 for
Lost toys),
Prison Break dolls are priced at a whopping $530 each while the entire set would cost $1028.
