Paul Adelstein as Agent Paul Kellerman


Agent Paul Kellerman is a Secret Service agent commissioned by President Caroline Reynolds. Along with his partner agent Daniel Hale, their job was to make sure that Lincoln Burrows was executed. Their plans went awry, and Paul was forced to kill his partner for trying to pass information about the conspiracy to Veronica Donovan. In an attempt to find Lincoln, Paul posed as a homosexual drug addict, Lance, to gain information from Sara Tancredi. However, his true identity was exposed when Sara’s father, Governor Frank Tancredi, recognized him and immediately warned his daughter. This further broke down Paul’s professional relationship with the President.

Before Paul was asked to join the Secret Service, he was enlisted for the U.S. Army Special Forces, where he gained the rank of Major. As a Secret Service agent, he found himself working for Caroline Reynolds, who was only the Vice President at the time. Because of his loyalty and what he believed to be an act for the ultimate good, Paul assisted Caroline in her devious and sinister plans to the top. He helped her to set up Lincoln and to get rid of the President. However, things started to sour between him and Caroline after he repeatedly failed to stop Michael Scofield from helping Lincoln.

When Reynolds assigned him to report to Agent William Kim instead of reporting directly to her, Paul came to realize that he was slowly being inched out of Caroline’s circle. The realization led him to change the direction of his plans, at one point even trying to assassinate the Caroline himself. When his attempt to kill the Caroline failed, he decided to point the gun on himself. In some twist of fate, the gun jammed, and Paul’s sister, Kristine, convinced him to start anew. His first act as a changed man was to testify at Sara’s trial.
