Hanna Marin

Upon the return of Alison, Hanna started to have an identity crisis which only got worse when Caleb came back from Ravenswood. Significantly affected by Mona’s apparent death, she started drinking which caused tension between her and her friends. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg as far as Hanna’s problems are concerned. She also had to look for college money, deal with her mother’s infidelity and was framed for Mona’s murder.

Aria Montgomery

Still carrying the weight of Shana’s death, Aria reunited with Ezra but eventually betrayed him by sending a fabricated story in a letter to Talmadge, saying that she regrets being in a relationship with him. Alison DiLaurentis

Alison was still very much under the grasp of A even though she wanted to end the game once and for all.  Forced to cook up a chain of lies, Alison found herself alone as her friends abandoned her thinking that she’s A while she grieved over her mother’s death. She was arrested for Mona’s “murder” with Aria, Spencer, and Emily arrested as accessories.

Mona Vanderwaal

Alison’s return prompted Mona to gather an army against Alison, consisting of people she previously bullied. She then convinced the Liars that Alison is A by ultimately faking her her death and framing Alison for her murder. She also planned to blackmail A but she ended up being abducted and held captive in Charles’ doll house where she is going under the name Alison.
