Bryce Johnson got his television break when he was cast as Josh Ford on the teen series
Popular, which ran from 1999 to 2001. He portrayed the quarterback of the football team of Jacqueline Kennedy High School and was known as the best friend of Michael “Sugar Daddy” Bernardino (
Ron Lester) who also became the lead in the school play. For a brief period he dated lead character Brooke McQueen (
Leslie Bibb) but eventually married Lily Esposito (
Tamara Mello) towards the end of the series. Despite the abrupt cancellation of the show, the 30-year-old actor remains active in the entertainment world with his current projects and upcoming film.
Later this year, the Johnson will be featured as Bobby “Big Time” Billings, alongside Popular costar
Sara Rue and Phillip Vaden (
Pope Dreams) in the comedy movie
Man Maid.
Meanwhile, the former
Popular actor is also featured in the direct-to-DVD animated movie
Doctor Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme, which is based on the Marvel Comics character. Johnson provides the voice of Doctor Strange in the said film, which was released just last Tuesday.
After
Popular, Bryce Johnson continued to appear as a guest star on teen-oriented series such as
Dawson's Creek, What I Like About You and
Gilmore Girls. He was also cast as Jake Morgan on the television series
Still Life.
Furthermore, he became part of several films and simultaneously worked behind the camera doing voice overwork. His credits included videogames like
Justice League Heroes as Aquaman,
