Nessa Nemir was born on September 29, 1977 in Oakland, California and raised in Berkeley. She grew up alone since she was sixteen, and was moved to Edinburgh, Scotland because her stepfather was getting his master's degree there. Nemir then spent many summers in France. After high school she went to college at University of California, Los Angeles where she got her bachelor's degree in Italian and special fields. Having an extremely high IQ and a fluent tongue on three languages, she continued to educate herself at the Make-up Designory in Los Angeles where she specialized in character make-up. She is also active in sports, as she did soccer, cross-country running and boxing. Her other hobbies include traveling, backpacking, skiing, painting, reading, writing, and dancing.

Nessa Namir competes for a million dollars on the new CBS reality show, Pirate Master. Vying for the ultimate title, this athletic, adventurous and competitive woman is among sixteen modern day pirates tasked to find a hidden treasure on the Caribbean island of Dominica.
