Angela Funovits is featured as a contestant in the NBC network’s competitive reality television series Phenomenon. She originally hails from her hometown of Avon Lake, OH. Ever since she was just ten years old, Funovits has been interested in the magic of illusions. She grew further intrigued after she discovered that her great-grandfather was possibly a famed magician in the land of China, which left her wanting to learn more about the craft. Aside from stage magic, Funovits also began working as a model at the age of 11, and emerged victorious in the “Miss Teen Cleveland” pageant competition when she was 16 years old.

While she was a senior student in high school, one of her family members began suffering from heart disease. This turn of events prompted Funovits to create a workshop called “The Magic of Medicine,” which assists cancer patients as well as their loved ones in coping with their ailments. She would eventually go on to become a medical student, though she has also been offered the opportunity to work with an act called “The Pussycats of Magic” located in Las Vegas.
