Marianne Muellerleile gave life to Norma Bates on the NBC soap opera
Passions. She was introduced as the owner of the Bates Motel who was disturbed and delusional for talking to her deceased father and secretly keeping his skeleton. Her rage and fury surfaced when Tabitha Lenox and her companion Timmy discovered and accidentally destroyed Norma’s father’s remains. This prompted Norma to a series of attempted murders, chasing Tabitha and Timmy throughout the show. She was also noted for her scheming adventures with her partner in crime Edna Wallace, whom she met at a psych ward. Next year, she’ll be taking on a role apart from her mentally insane character as she graces the big screen with a romantic comedy movie.
Currently in post-production stages is the movie
The Hottie and the Nottie, which features the former Passions actress as Mrs. Blount, along with Paris Hilton (
The Simple Life) and Joel Moore. The film centers on a girl who refuses to marry her longtime boyfriend until he can find the perfect match for her ugly best friend.
Before landing a spot in the romantic comedy movie, Marianne Muellerleile worked on several movies. She became part of
Welcome to Paradise, Playing Chicken, and
Norbit with Edie Murphy.
Most recently, she starred in
I Think I’m Alone Now, in which she played Nurse O’Toole. The comedy film also included Scotty Crowe and Kimberly Alexander.
Moreover, she was also cast on Disney’s
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as Sister Dominick, in which she recurrently appeared on four episodes of season two.
Until now, Marianne Muellerleile is still remembered for her infamous psychotic role on
Passions, which brought many suspenseful thrills to the award-winning soap.
