
Kyrie Maezumi was known as Maya Chinn on the soap opera
Passions. Throughout the show, her storylines were often associated with Noah Bennett. She was romantically involved with him in the past and, together, even witnessed a murder committed by Spike Lester. But her reluctance to disclose the crime to the police eventually put a wedge in their relationship. Later, it was revealed that she had been working with a criminal mastermind known as the Dragon Lady and had been enlisted by Alistair Crane to take part in a devious plot centered on Noah. Towards the end, she was killed in Rome due to an earthquake tragedy. Despite her death on the show, she remains to be visible on the big screen with her upcoming movies.
This coming August, she will be featured in the movie
The Still Life. Directed by Joel Miller, the drama centers on self-destructive artist attempting to regain his identity after a distressing bout with commercial success. After the creation of a new art genre called Destructionism and picking up the pieces of his tattered life, he soon discovers what kind of an artist he really wants be.
The former
Passions actress has also been cast as Jade in Stephen Savage's film entitled
Cosmic Radio, an environmentally themed romantic comedy starring Irene Bedard, Michael Madson, and Daryl Hannah among others.
Aside from acting, Kyrie Maezumi is also preoccupied as a composer and singer, working on a collection of original songs for her first CD. Her group “Peep and the Shivers” can be seen performing in various L.A. clubs.
