Passions. Born to Governor Harrison Winthrop and Helen Revere-Mott-Beaton, Ivy grew up in a wealthy family who supported all her needs. She later met Sam Bennett, a lifeguard who reciprocated her feelings for him. Determined to marry her, he left Harmony to work and earn enough money for their marriage. Ivy's father was against this relationship so he intercepted all Sam's letters to Ivy, thus having Ivy think that he had forgotten all about her.
