Harold Perrineau

Harold Perrineau, Jr. was born on August 7, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York City. His father was Harold Williams, Sr., though he chose to use his mother’s maiden name as his surname instead. Perrineau Jr. is married to a woman named Brittany, and they have a daughter named Aurora Robinson. Perrineau Jr. is a veteran of several notable television shows and movies. Some of the productions he has acted in are the Wachowski brothers’ seminal Matrix series and its tie-in video game, 28 Weeks Later, and Woman On Top. He has also worked on the hit ABC television series Lost.

Augustus Hill is portrayed by Harold Perrineau, Jr. in the HBO prison drama television series Oz. He looked up to his grandfather Burr Redding as a mentor, and has both sold and used drugs ever since he was a teenager. Hill was pursued back in 1995 by a SWAT team with a drug warrant, which had been tipped off by Kevin Ketchum. While he was being arrested, Hill grew afraid for his life and killed a member of the SWAT team. Another police officer retaliated by throwing Hill off the roof of a building, an act which left the drug dealer paralyzed from his waist downwards.
