On tonight's premiere episode of
Oprah's Big Give, Oprah Winfrey will meet ten contestants and hand each of them an envelope with only the name and picture of a stranger whose lives they must change. Participants are asked to create an idea that will develop the resources awarded to them to drastically improve the life of their assigned person within five days, forcing them to deal with the stress of it all by using ultimate strategy and creativity. The goal of the promotion is to see local affiliates do something big with the money, make it grow, and pay it forward to their community.
Participants will also be asked to generate local publicity for their give-back program through on-air PSAs, news mentions and tie-ins, morning talk show coverage, online editorial and banners, partnerships with other media outlets, and remote broadcasts. Ad campaigns can start as early as the premiere episode, March 2, or as late as March 16.
Catch
Oprah's Big Give every Sunday at 9pm on ABC.
