It feels like it's been ages since we've witnessed the drama between the characters on
One Tree Hill. When we last left the gang, Lindsay ran out on Lucas before they could get married, Dan saved Jamie from a nanny-napping, and Nathan (
James Lafferty) and Haley were slowly rebuilding their relationship. The show finally returns with the first of six new episodes next week, now in the brand new time slot of Mondays at 9pm. To get fans ready for the big return, we have some exciting clips from the new installment.
Monday night's episode, entitled "Echoes, Silence, Patience, & Grace," is the first episode that was written after the writers' strike. The official CW description reads, "Lucas picks up the pieces after being left at the altar by Lindsey, while Nathan and Haley (
Bethany Joy Galeotti) deal with the repercussions of Jamie's abduction. Brooke is haunted by her past as she considers adopting, while Peyton gets a visit from an old friend."
Though there's no mention of Dan (
Paul Johansson) in that description, the first clip below shows how Lucas and Nathan react to his return. Needless to say, they don't welcome him back with open arms, even if he did rescue Jamie from nanny Carrie and her black hair dye. The second clip deals with Brooke pursuing her adoption idea, which I still find rather boring. I prefer my Brooke Davis naked in the back of a bartender's car, not raising a small child.
The first video from the episode finds Dan attempting to leave the house after dropping Jamie off. When he sees Lucas (
Chad Michael Murray) walk out he assumes that his son is coming to thank him, but instead he gets a swift sucker punch in the face. Nathan also runs out and joins in on the beating, just in time for Jamie to see the entire incident.
The other clip shows Brooke (
Sophia Bush) talking to an adoption agent. The woman interrogates Brooke on her sexual history, her drinking habits, and her friendship with Peyton (
Hilarie Burton).
