One Tree Hill
has been renewed for a fifth season on The CW, according to a report in Variety. The CW releases its official upfronts for next season tomorrow, but made an early announcement of the renewals of One Tree Hill
, and Smallville
Four episodes are still left to air in the fourth season of One Tree Hill
, including “Ashes of Dreams You Let Die,” set to air next week, and “The Birth and Death of the Day” and “All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone,” which will presumably air before the middle of June.

After they cross paths with Chase (Stephen Colletti), Peyton (Hilarie Burton
) and Brooke (Sophia Bush
) rekindle their friendship. Nathan (James Lafferty
) grows more afraid for his own future, as mistakes from the past return to haunt both Nathan and Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti
). Lucas (Chad Michael Murray
) makes contact with the “mystery witness” to Keith’s murder, and then hears a “shocking confession.”

Guest star Allison Scagliotti-Smith returns as Abby Brown. Other guest stars in this episode of One Tree Hill include Sean Young (Blade Runner, No Way Out) as Hope Brown, and Matt Barr once again as “Psycho Derek.”

It’s nearly the end of the school year, and Peyton has been offered a music internship, which would mean moving to Los Angeles.
