one tree hillLast season, the pregnancy of Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Galeotti) became one of the major highlights of One Tree Hill.  This paves the way for some massive changes in the lives Haley and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), given that they are now proud parents of a baby boy named James.  As reported previously, new characters will be joining the teen drama as it heads to the fifth season, including a new nanny for the baby who just might spark trouble in the Scott household.

Read on for more spoilers about James' nanny.

Season 5 of One Tree Hill is reportedly “dramatically retooled and set four years into the future.” Because of the major change in the story-time, baby James will come back next season as a smart and mature little boy and will have a nanny named Carrie.

According to TV Guide, Torey DeVitto has signed on to play the nanny of Nathan and Haley's son in a multi-episode arc.  DeVitto is best known for her role on ABC Family's Beautiful People and in the movie I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, where she played Zoe.

DeVitto's character, who is described as personable, nurturing and beautiful, will be revealing to Haley that she'll probably end up an old maid since she can't get “the ideal” guy.  Calling herself as "a work in progress," she thanks Haley for taking a chance on her, thus giving her a place she can call home.

Another spoiler is that Carrie's father left when she was young and that her mother was too young and wild when she had her, which resulted to Carrie moving from foster home to foster home.

Fans can catch the Scotts' new nanny, as well as the rest of the One Tree Hill gang, when the series returns for its fifths season on January 2, 2008 on The CW.
