Previously on One Tree Hill: Julian and Brooke got their freak on, as did Mia and Chase. Millie and Mouth called it quits while Lucas and Peyton got used to the fact that they're going to be parents.

Nathan (James Lafferty)  is riding the pine at a Charleston Chiefs game, angering Jamie (Jackson Brundage). Fox, the hot dog player who hazed Nathan, misses a last-minute shot costing the team the game. Fox is still quite happy that he scored 33 points, not caring that basketball is a team sport. Jamie is adorably furious.

Meanwhile, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) is doing the dishes, something he enjoys, a clear sign that he's a fictional character. He's still in a pickle because he and Julian (Austin Nichols) can't find a decent director. Speaking of Julian, he's busy trying to talk Brooke (Sophia Bush) into having sex, and he's doing a pretty good job. Sam (Ashley Rickards) walks in to ruin the moment, even though she's very supportive of some Julian-Brooke lovemaking, as am I.

Julian and Lucas meet with a crazy director who wants to shoot the movie with a handheld camera and make Lucas live in a junkyard and Keith die in a drive-by from a rival gang. They move on to meet with Julian's dad, and for some reason, Julian is wearing a very stupid hat. The two are forced to make a decision by the next day.

The Brooke-Julian flirtation continues at Clothes Over Bros, and Peyton (Hilarie Burton) walks in to offer a friendly warning about how Julian will disappoint her in the end. He returns later and gets the third degree from Brooke about where their relationship is going. She's not willing just to have fun with him. I suspect there are many female fans out there who would feel otherwise.

Lucas bonds with Haley by showing her the engagement ring he bought for Peyton. He'd give her Keith's, but since he gave that to Lindsey, things would get a bit awkward. Instead, Lucas drives Peyton out to the spot where they first met, gets down on one knee and gives her the big diamond ring. She's happy and says, “I'm so glad you always knew me.” I have no idea what that means.
