Last week on
One Tree Hill, the gang spent some time working out their issues. Nathan and Haley went to couples counseling in an attempt to bring the spark back to their marriage, Lucas chatted with Andy about his desire to win back Lindsey, and Brooke was grilled by an adoption agent over her scandalous past. In the best scenes of the episode, Dan (
Paul Johansson) made his parole officer listen to stories about his adorable grandson, Jamie. The entire hour was a lot of talk, but not a lot of action.
Tonight, Lucas and Peyton finally discuss the wedding that wasn't, and Mouth and Millicent return to awe us with their adorableness.

Tonight's episode kicks off with the entire gang waking up in bed. Not together, as interesting as that would be, but one by one. Dan wakes up to the sound of a gunshot, proving that he still feels some guilt over Keith's death. Nathan (
James Lafferty) and Haley have a long day of interviewing nannies and mannies ahead of them, while Mouth worries about how he'll pay his rent.
Skills (
Antwon Tanner) managed to lose eight basketball games while Lucas was out of town brooding. He puts all the blame on Quentin and his messed up hand. Jamie arrives to shoot some hoops, once again proving himself to be the most adorable child ever. He even does a little bit of rapping with Quentin, which Nathan is far too white bread to join in on.
Brooke decides to give Millicent a promotion, but her plans quickly change when the adoption agent calls. Brooke is going to be a mom, and I'm probably going to be quite bored by these parental hijinks. Meanwhile, Peyton's music label is finding success with Mia's album, which has already sold 40,000 copies. Haley arrives to hand her demo over to Peyton (
Hilarie Burton). She's hoping to rekindle her musical success after being out of the spotlight for years, but is it too late? Peyton doesn't think so. She's thrilled by the idea of working with her friend.
After proving that Quentin's hand isn't up for shooting hoops, Lucas (
Chad Michael Murray) demands that he go to the doctor. He's a great player, but he can't help out the team when he's injured. Quentin goes and gets a cast put on his arm, then yells at Skills for running to Lucas about the injury. He even tries to play the "we have to stick together because of our race" card, but Skills doesn't want to hear it.
Not only did Millicent get a promotion, but it looks like Mouth (
Lee Norris) did too. He was offered an on-air position in Nebraska, but he turned it down because of his relationship. He then asks Millicent to move in with him, but she freaks out and runs away.
It's time for another confrontation with Dan. Nathan and Lucas run into their dad at the hospital, and Nathan accuses him of stalking Jamie. Dan, of course, insists that he was only there for a check up. Lucas has to explain to Jamie that they hate Grandpa Dan for taking Keith away, and it looks like Jamie finally gets it.
I'm not the only one who isn't thrilled with the prospect of Brooke (
Sophia Bush) getting a baby. Owen isn't too keen on the idea either. However, it looks like this is more of a trial run than a permanent adoption. Brooke will be getting a sick baby that she gets to take care of until it has its surgery. If it goes well, it might put her in the running for a full-time baby.
The moment we've been waiting for is finally here, as Lucas and Peyton meet up for the first time since the wedding. She says that she feels terrible about everything falling apart, but Lucas is holding on to the idea that Lindsey will be back. I'm pretty sure Lucas is the only one who cares about that relationship continuing.
I guess that Owen's stint on the show is over, because Chase shows up at Brooke's place to tell her that Owen is too freaked out by the baby to appear in person. Chase is also leaving town, so it looks like Brooke will have to raise her child without any studly men around.
Millicent arrives at Mouth's apartment to explain why she freaked out about moving in with him. She doesn't want to sleep in the same bed with him because she's a virgin, and she's intimidated by his sexual experience. I'm pretty sure that's the first time Mouth has ever heard such a thing. He explains to her that he'll never pressure her about sex, and she finally agrees to move in.
While Nathan and Haley (
Bethany Joy Galeotti) interview nannies and stereotypically gay mannies, Lucas gives Brooke a pep talk about motherhood. She's freaked out, but he assures her that she'll do a great job as a single mom.
Does Nathan have what it takes to make a comeback as a basketball star? He practices by shooting some hoops with Quentin, who is as cocky and annoying as always. With one of them recovering from paralysis and the other suffering from a broken hand, this should prove to be an awesome match. Quentin makes one basket and proceeds to gloat about it like the ass that he is. Nathan, tired of the wannabe basketball star's verbal abuse, leaves the court and runs into Dan. Dan tries to play the role of the wise old man handing out sage advice, but he's not as cuddly as Whitey. Nathan wants nothing to do with him.
In a surprising move, Haley has hired Deb (
Barbara Alyn Woods) to be Jamie's new nanny. Well, at least there will be no awkward sexual tension in that situation. As the episode comes to an end, the gang embarks on their new paths in life. Brooke picks up her baby, Haley practices her music, Lucas and Skills prepare for a basketball season without Quentin, and Dan broods over how tough it is to be a reformed criminal.
