One Tree Hill: Episode 6.9 "Sympathy for the Devil" Recap (Page 3/3)
Peyton meets with Julian to find out his real motive for coming to town. He claims that he has no desire to woo her back, and the only reason he didn't tell Lucas about their relationship was out of respect for their engagement.  Could Julian actually be telling the truth?  I doubt it, but anything is possible.

Nathan gets word that a scout is going to show up at his Slamball game, which inspires him to show off and kick extra ass.  He's also inspired by the trash talk being thrown out by opposing player Jerome, who Nathan faced off with once in high school.  Jerome gets so pissed after Nathan makes an awesome dunk that he smashes him through a glass wall, prompting Jamie to tell his daddy not to play Slamball anymore.  I'm still not sure why the guy with back injuries decided to play one of the most brutal sports ever invented, but maybe Nathan misses his paralysis.

After telling Brooke that he's no longer going to chase after her, Owen finds her waiting in the back seat of his car, fully clothed for a change.  She tells him that he's a great guy who has the potential to be an awesome boyfriend, but right now she wants to focus on being a role model for Sam.  Maybe they can work something out down the road, but until then Owen will have to live with being a guest star.

As One Tree Hill wraps up, Lucas delivers the final script pages to Julian's hotel room and sees a picture of Peyton.  While that's bound to cause some serious drama for the couple, it'll likely pale in comparison to what's coming up for Mouth (Lee Norris) and Millicent.  Gigi throws herself at him yet again, and this time it looks like he might be unable to resist.  In the final moments of the episode, Nathan promises his family that he'll quit Slamball for good, and Lucas confronts Peyton about her past relationship with the scruffy movie producer.
