One Tree Hill: Episode 6.7 "Messin' With the Kid" Recap (Page 3/3)
Brooke heads to the bar simply to call Owen a jerk.  He ran out of her life the instant she admitted she wanted a kid, and the fact that he's now apologetic doesn't help.  She's also pissed off at Sam, who promptly whips out the "everybody leaves me" speech the instant Brooke gets angry.  She also reveals that her real mom is a waitress at the local diner.  Brooke cries to Haley later that day over the Sam situation, making me believe that this kid is more trouble than she's worth.  I say ditch the teenager and live it up with your Clothes Over Bros millions, Brooke!  You're too young to mentor a wayward teen.

Despite the fact that he has a girlfriend, Gigi totally has the hots for Mouth.  She makes it perfectly obvious that she wants to have sex with him, and also mentions that she's had a few girlfriends of her own.  Oh my.  At the Scott house, Nathan tells Jamie how proud he is that he had the guts to keep wearing the cape in the face of the evil bully.  That's because Jamie is completely awesome.

Instead of following my advice and giving up on Sam, Brooke asks the kid if she wants to move in with her permanently.  There are going to be some rules, but it's still better than living in a car in the middle of shop class.  Not only has Brooke made amends with Rebel Sam, but she also allows Owen to explain why he disappeared last season.  The idea of the kid freaked him out, but he now regrets his decision to flee.  He promises he's not going to go anywhere this time around.

As this week's One Tree Hill comes to an end, Lucas and Peyton call off their household battle, Mouth decides not to tell Millicent about Gigi, and Dan (Paul Johnasson) lets the mother of the bully know that he's on parole for murder.  Oh Dan, your wacky antics make this show so much more entertaining.  Can't we just give him all the screen time devoted to Lucas and Peyton?  The episode concludes with Haley heading to the waterfront to make some beautiful music with Grace, and the bully desperately trying to become friends with Jamie.  When the kid asks Jamie why he's not wearing his cape at school anymore, he simply explains that "some people lead and some people follow."  This is why Jamie is the coolest kid ever.
