While Brooke (
Sophia Bush) rants to her therapist about the loss of her company, she stumbles upon something profound. She's jealous that all of her friends have romantic relationships and partners in crime, yet she insists on going through life alone. I'm sure a man will solve all of Brooke's problems, because that always works out for her so well.
I've been waiting all week to see Nanny Carrie go completely bonkers, and now my wish is finally coming true. Dan (
Paul Johansson) threatens to kill Carrie if she dares to touch a hair on Jamie's head, but she injects him with something so he can't cause any trouble. Haley soon arrives and goes inside while Jamie waits in the car. She finds Dan taking on the James Caan role in
Misery 8: The Revenge of the Faux-British Nanny, but before she can help she gets bashed in the head by the evil wench. Love it! Meanwhile, Deb (
Barbara Alyn Woods) finds a picture of Carrie in a drawer, helping her figure out that Haley just drove off to get herself killed.
"It looks like somebody needs to learn some manners," Carrie mutters as she grabs an ax and tries to bust Jamie out of the car. The kid wisely runs out into the cornfield while Psycho Bitch chases him down with a syringe in hand. Haley gets to Jamie first, but a loud cell phone call from Nathan reveals their location. Another chase sequence begins, but Deb puts an end to it by whacking Carrie in the face with a wine bottle and cooly saying, "I guess there's more than one crazy nanny in this town. Bitch." Hee. However, that's not quite the end of Nanny Carrie and her recreations of horror movie classics. The nutjob has also seen
Scream, so she jumps up for one last scare while brandishing the ax, only to be shot by Dan. "God, I hate the woods," he says nonchalantly. He's like the Neve Campbell of this episode.
As
OTH comes to an end, Brooke bonds with Rebel Sam while Peyton is let down by Mick, who doesn't show for their dinner date. He instead spends the evening in a bar falling off the wagon, because downing whiskey is more interesting than telling Peyton more stories about her parents. Millicent also returns to town to cheer Brooke up, but that pales in comparison to the final scene of the episode. Nanny Carrie wakes up yet again, giggles evilly at Dan and practically taunts him to kill her. He grants her wish by plugging her in the head with a bullet, and we all rejoice with loud cheers. That's nice and all, but what happened to Chester?!
