One Tree Hill: Episode 6.3 "Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly" Recap (Page 3/3)
It's the day of the funeral, which means it's time for everyone to come together.  Nathan (James Lafferty) shows up at Brooke's place and asks her if he can help her out with anything.  He knows what it's like to be screwed over by a parent, so he's the guy to talk to about trauma.  Brooke insists that she's fine, but Nathan tells her that they come from similar backgrounds and that he knows she's just pretending everything's alright.  This is actually a really nice scene, especially since we never see Nathan and Brooke together.  Will people now start rooting for a Nooke coupling?  Or Brathan?

Jamie wants to go to the funeral to say goodbye, and he doesn't care what his parents say.  Everyone shows up at the funeral to pay their respects to Quentin, and Brooke shows up just to be polite and bask in the depression.  Deb (Barbara Alyn Woods) dares to show affection to Skills in public, which finally helps Nathan figure out what's going on.

Over in Misery 6: Seriously, This Over the Top Storyline Really Doesn't Fit With the Tragic Tone of the Rest of the Episode, Dan gets Nanny Carrie to break down over the loss of her son.  Mark Schwahn tries to tie together Nanny Carrie's grief with the sadness everyone else is feeling, but it really doesn't work since she's like a character out of a ridiculous daytime soap opera.  It's too late to make me weep for her now, Schwahny.

One of my co-workers predicted that Jamie would toss Quentin's cape over his coffin at the funeral, and that's exactly how this episode ends.  Brooke breaks down as she sees Jamie's heartfelt gesture, and he takes her hand to comfort her.  We also learn that new girl Samantha wrote a very touching paper about Quentin, proving that she may not be such a nuisance after all.

Next week on One Tree Hill, the mourning takes a backseat so we can return to the fun stuff, like watching Nanny Carrie threaten the life of Chester the bunny!
