Nathan and Haley take Jamie to the Oppenheimer School for the Gifted, also known as a total nerd factory.  I love Jamie, but is a kid who still wears a cape really the kind of student they're looking for?  He meets some fellow students and tries out his stand-up routine, but the other kids had their funny bones surgically removed.

Even more pathetic (and hilarious) is that the school doesn't have sports, but it does use sports for learning exercises.  And this is how we got Mathketball, a sport that makes spelling bees look like MMA.  Jamie plays against some kid who scores a "three-point mathket" and does a lame victory dance.  Nathan instantly decides that there's no way Jamie is going to a school full of "math-holes."  Real mature, Nathan.  How about you just make them give you their chocolate milk or you'll give them all noogies?

At home, Nathan and Haley revert back to their high school selves and debate whether Jamie should be a nerd or a jock, bringing up all the old differences that kept Haley and Nathan in two different social circles in high school.

After some reflection, Nathan and Haley both change their minds on the issue, so now Nathan wants Jamie to have the best education possible while Haley wants her kid to be a big fish in a small pond.  None of this matters because Jamie comes up and offers his own opinion: he wants to stay at his school.

That night they drink wine while Nathan laments having to go back to playing basketball, which prompts Haley to quote the last line of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: "Do you know what happened to the boy who got everything he ever wished for?  He lived happily ever after."
