It's two hot guys for the price of one today. CBS has announced that Eric Christian Olsen is being promoted to a series regular on NCIS: Los Angeles while former One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray will star in a new ABC Family made-for-TV movie. One of those is a huge step up, the other a big step down.

Olsen appeared in the first season of NCIS: Los Angeles as a liaison from the LAPD. He had a good year last season, also recurring on NBC's Community as the constantly shirtless hippie Vaughn. The promotion is a great move for his career as NCIS: Los Angeles was the top new show of last season.

Meanwhile, Chad Michael Murray is finally coming out of a rather long seclusion following his departure from One Tree Hill more than a year ago to star in The Ex-Mas Carol, an ABC Family original movie that is essentially the Matthew McConaughey movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, but with a female star.

It's a giant step back in his career, reminiscent of his early movie work in films like A Cinderella Story. On the bright side, Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence were able to go from an ABC Family TV movie to getting their own show on the network, so maybe this is CMM's first step back to regular television.

Which hot guy on TV are you more excited to see?
