Chad Michael Murray already tried his hand with the One Tree Hill episode “We Three (My Echo, My Shadow and Me) for the series sixth season.  Next year, fans will get another taste of the actor's directorial efforts with yet another episode of the hit series.

TV Guide answered a viewer's question about Murray's work on the show.  A fan named Teddi asked, “What can you tell me about the One Tree Hill episode that Chad Michael Murray is directing?”  Of course, other admirers of the guy are probably wondering the same thing.

Matt Mitovich of TV Guide replied “The Chad's foray into directing, entitled "A Hand to Take Hold of the Scene," will air Jan. 12.”  The insider even put up a link to the video in which Chad Michael Murray talks about his work as a director.  You can see the clip below.

Mitovich further said, “If you're curious if Murray got to direct his old Dawson's cast mate, James Van der Beek, the answer is no.  Filmmaker Dixon, however, resurfaces the following week.”

There aren't a lot of details regarding the episode titled “A Hand to Take Hold of the Scene.”  The few things we know about it is that Chad's directing, and that the title comes from a song by the indie band Okkervil River.  One Tree Hill already took a title from the band before, with “Our Life is Not a Movie But Maybe.”  It seems as though they're revisiting it for Murray.

Sources reveal that “A Hand to Take Hold of the Scene” will focus on Mouth (Lee Norris) and Millicent (Lisa Goldstein) trying to keep their relationship alive.  However, this gets more difficult as Peyton's condition gets spreads.

On TV Guide's video, Chad begins discussing his upcoming directorial work at the 3:30 mark.  Other than it being a fun experience, he explained that he “got a little piece of what the storyline is” and how he worked with One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwann.

“It's just a regular Mark Schwann episode.  Nice, upbeat comedies like Episode 7 once,” he continued.  Chad went on to relay what happened to Peyton (Hilarie Burton) and his character Lucas being locked in a house back then.

“There's a lot of really great, fun opportunities,” Chad said.  Perhaps, we could all look forward to Chad wearing the director's cap with “A Hand to Take Hold of The Scene” next year.
