Previously on
One Life to Live, John (
Michael Easton) convinced Todd (
Trevor St. John) to let him go with him and the two of men head out after Marcie (
Kathy Brier). Meanwhile, Marcie went to the Bon Jour café in order to retrieve her passports and money, and there, found herself face to face with Viki (
Erika Slezak), who was closing up the establishment by herself.
Elsewhere, Charlie (Brian Kerwin) surprised the scheming Dorian (
Robin Strasser) by showing up at her door, while Jessica (
Bree Williamson) set her plan to pretend to be Tess in motion in order to get information against Jared (John Brotherton).

Viki is surprised to see Marcie at the café. Viki is taken hostage by Marcie, and when she tries to reason with Marcie, she begins to experience chest pains. News of the hostage situation reaches Llanview, shocking Viki's family and friends. Her secret life is exposed, and the truth shocks Moe (John Rue), Noelle (January LaVoy) and Gigi (Farah Fath), who later pays the price for assisting Marcie.
Michael (Chris Stack), whose injuries from the shooting did not prove fatal, somehow manages to convince Marcie to let him take Viki's place as her hostage. He pleads with Marcie to do the right thing.
Meanwhile, Jared investigates to see whether or not Jessica is really Tess again. He also gives Natalie some much needed support.
Rex (
John-Paul Lavoisier) decides to look into the Balsom family history, which does not bode well with Roxy (Ilene Kristen), who immediately panics. Rex, along with Adriana, is stunned when Charlie proclaims that his last name is Balsom.
Elsewhere, Starr (
Kristen Alderson) wants nothing to do with Adriana's (Melissa Fumero) wedding, and refuses to help Dorian with the wedding plans. Dorian, meanwhile, welcomes Charlie into her home.
