It seems rapper Snoop Dogg is such a huge fan of the ABC soap
One Life to Live that he's more than willing to write a song for the popular daytime drama.
The New York Post is reporting that the 36-year-old artist, who also stars in his own reality show,
Snoop Dogg's Father Hood, on E!, expressed his desire to pen a theme song for
One Life to Live after hearing about Mary J. Blige's upcoming re-appearance.
"I'm a huge fan of Snoop,” One Life to Live music supervisor Paul Glass said, “and I'd love to hear what he'd come up with.”
Snoop is gearing up to release a new album called “Ego Trippin,'” which reportedly features a duet with his close friend and business partner, David Beckham. The soccer star's publicist, however, denied the reports, telling Ace Showbiz, “No truth in that one, glad you checked it.”
Meanwhile, Blige's re-appearance on
One Life to Live is scheduled to air on February 15 and 18, during which she will sing two songs from her latest album at the surprise birthday party for Starr Manning (
Kristen Alderson). This is the second time Blige, a self-confessed fan of the series, has graced the soap, with her first appearance dating back to 2006.
In other
One Life to Live news, the show has several public events lined up in the coming months, which will give fans the opportunity to see their favorite stars in the flesh. For one, actor Brandon Buddy will be joining
All My Children's
Walt Willey,
Jeff Branson and Dominic Rains at next month's Soap Star Fan Event, to be held at the Radisson Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida.
For another, Buddy, along with costars
