Erika Slezak, who was born on August 5, 1946 in Hollywood, California, is an actress of Austrian and Dutch descent. She was born to actor Walter Slezak and is the grand daughter of opera tenor Leo Slezak. In 1971, she was cast as Victoria Lord on One Life to Live and is still playing the role to date. Slezak has won six Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1984, 1986, 1992, 1996, 1996 and 2005.
Victoria Lord is played by Erika Slezak in One Life to Live. Victoria is the abused daughter of Victor Lord, who used to sexually harass her when she was younger. Due to these instances, she developed Dissociative Identity Disorder and has suffered a brain aneurysm, stroke, breast cancer and heart disease. Despite her chaotic life, Victoria was still one of the most respected women in Llanview, and has once been the Mayor of Llanview and the President of Llanview University.
